Adding it all up
I started through all my receipts last night to begin working up a Bill of Materials. That was depressing. The most expensive stuff that isn't really thought about as a major component ended up being the food grade high temp quick disconnects ($150) and the SS ball valves ($80). These are things that add up very fast, mostly because there are a lot of them, and you really just don't think about them too much. The burners also ended up adding $80 to the bottom line and three thermometers were $90 (could have been closer to $120 if I hadn't shopped around). Anyway, I've done enough of these projects to know that you add up all the "big" items and then multiply by 3x to get a good estimate on how much this is all going to cost. Because these "little" things that you never really factor in while doing the initial rough estimates add up QUICK.

Some new pictures
Some new pictures to gaze at. Stainless steel hose braid that I've stripped and am going to use as a filter on the dip tub in the boil kettle. One of the natural gas 100,000 btu burners I'm going to be putting on the frame.
